My guitar is a Taylor 410. Perhaps nothing special to look at, but the sound is quite superb. I first tried out a Taylor guitar in a music shop in Perth. It was a 310 model and sounded really good. My friend suggested that a music shop in Dundee had a wide selection of Taylor guitars and that I should check them out. I duly visited the shop and tried out a 310 similar to the one I tried in Perth. Once again, very nice. I picked up another model, the 410 this time. It was a case of love at first strike. I just had to have this guitar. Now all I had to do was persuade myself that I could afford it. Of course I couldn’t! I bought it anyway. When I arrived home and started playing, I felt unable to put it down. I played for hours at a time, only stopping when my fingertips could take no more. My guitar playing improved dramatically. Not since my early days with the band has my playing taken such a leap forward. I’m now almost OK!
